Blocking Schemes

Trap: This is a running block scheme for the backside guard to pull and "trap" the play-side defensive tackle when running to the 1 or 2 hole.

Power: Run block scheme with a pulling backside guard when attacking the 3 or 4 hole.

Counter: This is a running block scheme for running plays giving way to misdirection and always contains pulling the backside guard when running to the 5 or 6 hole.

Toss: This is a running block scheme with the play-side guard pulling around the end to lead the way on a toss play to the 7 or 8 hole.

BoB: Big on Big. This is pass protection with the lineman dropping back picking up defenders.
